You may remember a little while ago Liz was involved in raising the profile of one of her favourite cooking ingredients in the Love Pork campaign.
Liz is showing her support for the just launched “The Pork Promise” campaign, to encourage shoppers to support the British Pig Industry by signing a Pledge to look out for the Red Tractor logo. The Promise reads:
Give more thought to pork
From this day forth…
I promise to give more thought to the pork on my fork.
I promise to think twice about whether it’s quality pork produced by farmers who prioritise the well-being of their pigs.
So I’m going to look for the Red Tractor logo on my rashers, my bangers, my gammon and my chops as a sign of this quality and high welfare and ask my friends and family to do the same.
The campaign is concentrating on explaining to shoppers that ‘all pigs are equal but some are more equal than others’. The aim is to differentiate Red Tractor products from lower welfare imports.
Why not join Liz on this campaign and sign up on Facebook to the Pork Promise here and publically show your support!
